4.5 Putting away crockery and cutlery
For optimum washing results, observe the following tips when loading the baskets.
ü Remove food residues, e.g. with cutlery. Pre-washing is not necessary.
ü Soften burnt fat in pans.
ü Align dishes with spray arms.
ü Fix plastic parts to prevent water residues in them.
ü Temperature-sensitive objects can deform under load, so make sure there is
sufficient clearance.
ü Place hollow products such as cups, glasses, pans, etc. into the basket with the
opening facing downwards. Do not stack.
ü Place smaller glasses in the upper basket. Place larger and taller glasses in the
lower basket.
ü To avoid glass damage, glasses must not be touching one another.
ü Place large items that are difficult to clean in the lower basket. The water jet
can then reach the dirty crockery.
ü Crockery and cutlery must not obstruct the rotation of the spray arms,
otherwise the water jet cannot reach the wash items efficiently.
