Vertical alignment.
Position the device horizontally as explained (see
Horizontal Alignment). Switch on the device and
wait until the levelling motors have aligned the
device. The device is completely aligned once
the central LED light stops blinking and shows
green permanently.
Push the "V" button (10) to switch on a vertical
line. After the alignment of the device, the device
will project a perfect vertical plumb line. There is
a corner of exactly 90° between the different ver-
tical lines. (You can see these corners easily on
the ceiling above the device.)
Each vertical plumb line makes a corner of exact-
ly 90° with the horizontal levelled line.
You can position the vertical line by turning the
body of the device (the base and the legs of the
device do not move). You can use the fine adjust-
ment (4) to turn the body very slowly. This facili-
tates the positioning of a vertical line over longer
distances.
∙ Remark: Never turn the 2 fine adjustment screws
simultaneously in the opposite direction.
The strong laser diode that projects a laser line
under an obtuse angle makes the laser line is
even visible behind the laser.
∙ By that, the device projects a cross on the ceil-
ing. The cross on the ceiling and the plumb
beam (see further) form a perfect plumb line.
∙ When working against a wall, you can position
the device between you and the wall. By that,
you do not hinder the laser beam and the verti-
cal line remains visible over the entire wall.
Plumb beam
Once one vertical line is switched on, the device
also projects a plumb beam (7). The cross on
the ceiling and the plumb beam form a perfect
plumb line.
The plumb beam can help you to position the
vertical line in an easy way or to lay out right an-
gles.
∙ First position the plumb beam exactly on the
first marking (e.g. the corner of the wall you
have to install).
∙ Then turn the body of the device until a vertical
line covers exactly the second marking (e.g. the
