c) Turning stroke rate on/off and adjusting it
• Press and hold the switch lock (1) to the left or right.
• Press the on/off switch (2) to turn on the jigsaw.
• The more pressure you put on the on/off switch (2), the faster the motor and the more strokes will be performed.
This guarantees a highly sensitive control, as required for example at the beginning of the saw cut or for very
precise cuts.
• To turn off the jigsaw, simply release the on/off switch (2).
After starting the motor, the switch lock (1) can be released.
d) Using laser and light
CAUTION - the laser beam is emitted from the laser outlet (5). Do not look directly into the laser beam.
To facilitate accurate and easy guidance of the jigsaw, a switchable light is built into a laser. The laser indicates where
the saw cut will be made.
• Press the laser/lighting switch (4) to switch on the laser together with lighting.
• Press the laser/lighting switch (4) again to switch off the laser and lighting again.

9. Troubleshooting

No function, the jigsaw cannot be switched on:
• The battery has depleted. Charge the battery using the corresponding charger.
• The battery is not correctly inserted into the slot on the appliance.
The saw blade does not move:
• Immediately switch off the jigsaw and disconnect the battery from the appliance.
• Check if a foreign object is blocking the saw blade.
• If necessary, remove the saw blade and/or remove the foreign object.
The saw cut is not clean, the edges of the cut are frayed.
• The saw blade is worn out or damaged and must be replaced.
• A saw blade that is unsuitable for the material or saw cut type is used.
• Protect sensitive materials (e.g. coated chipboard) with adhesive tape. The adhesive tape prevents fraying at the
cutting edge. A thin block of wood can also be cut at the same time to prevent fraying at the cutting edge.
• The pendulum stroke is set too high. Use a lower setting.
