7. Operation

a) Inserting / replacing the saw blade
• Before any work on the machine itself, pull the main plug.
• Use the hex wrench (11) to loosen both holding screws on the saw blade holder.
• Insert the saw blade (5) (teeth in cutting direction) until it latches in the stroke rod. When inserting the saw blade (5),
take care that the back of the saw blade rests in the groove of the guide roller (6).
• Tighten holding screws again. The shafts of all conventional sabers saw blades fit in the universal saw blade holder.
b) Initial operating
• Always use the correct supply voltage: the power supply voltage must match the information quoted on the tool
identification plate.
c) Switching on / off
• Brief activation
Press the on/off switch (2) and then let go again.
• Continuous use
- Switching on:
Press on/off switch (2) and retain with locking button (3).
- Switching off:
Press and release on/off switch (2).
d) Stroke rate selection
• With the thumbwheel (1), the required stroke rate can be selected (also while running).
- Press on/off switch (2) and retain with locking button (3).
- Set the needed speed.
1-2 = low stroke rate;
3-4 = medium stroke rate;
5-6 = high stroke rate.
e) Dust vacuuming with external extractor device
Dust extraction prevents large accumulations of dust, high concentration of dust in the ambient air,
and facilitates disposal. For long periods of working with wood or for commercial use on the materials
that produce dust that is detrimental to health, the machine is to be connected to a suitable external
dust extraction device.
