f) Specific safety instructions for jigsaws
• Always hold the jigsaw by the insulated handles. The saw blade could come into contact with hidden
power lines or the mains cable and energise the metal parts of the jigsaw. Danger of electric shock!
• Hold the jigsaw in place with both hands during use to ensure controlled handling.
• Keep body parts away from the saw blade during operation.
• Never touch the rotating saw blade. Risk of injury! The saw blade continues to run for a short period after
being switched off.
• Never reach under the workpiece while working. Your hands could get into the running saw blade protrud-
ing from the workpiece and cause injury.
• Before putting the jigsaw down, wait until the drive has come to a complete standstill.
• The saw base surface must always rest firmly on the workpiece when working.
• Always fix the workpiece in place with suitable means. Never hold the piece to be cut in your hands or
rested on your legs.
• Sawing materials that contain asbestos may generate dust dangerous to your health. Comply with gov-
ernment regulations and manufacturer recommendations.
• If you need to restart the jigsaw inside the workpiece after an interruption, make sure that the saw blade
has not or is not about to become jammed.
g) Laser safety
• When operating the laser equipment, always make sure that the laser beam is directed so that no person
is in the projection area and that unintentional reflected beams (e.g. from reflective objects) cannot be
directed to areas where people are present.
• Never look into the laser beam and never point it at people or animals. Laser radiation may result in
injuries to the eyes or skin.
• Do not point the laser beam at mirrors or other reflective surfaces. The uncontrolled, reflected beam may
strike people or animals.
• Never leave the laser in operation unattended.
• Wherever possible, direct the laser in such a way that it does not cross eye level.
• Caution: if operation settings or procedures other than those described here in these original operating
instructions are used, this could lead to exposure to dangerous radiation.
• The product is equipped with a class 2 laser. Laser signs in different languages are included in the
package. If the information on the product is not written in the language of your country, please affix the
appropriate sign on the product.
