Measuring your blood pressure
Close the air valve next to the
pumping ball by turning it clockwi-
se.
Inflate the cuff to above the systo-
lic pressure. The air release speed
can be adjusted by rotating the
valve screw. The World Health
Organisation (WHO) recommends
a deflation speed of 2 – 3 mmHg
per second..
As soon as you realize the systolic
auscultation press the "MARK"-
button to mark the relevant value
on the display.
In the moment you realize the dia-
stolic pressure, press the "MARK"-
button again to mark the relevant
value on the column (maximum 4
marks for diastolic pressure possi-
ble)
After the measurement is comple-
ted, fully open the air valve (by tur-
ning the air valve anti-clockwise)
to achieve fast deflation of the
cuff.
