tarp once the carpet is completely dry after cleaning. Otherwise the wet carpet could
damage the legs.
3. Check the carpet's colour-fastness. Dip a piece of white fabric in the enclosed
cleaning solution (see section "Preparing the device / fi lling the fresh water tank")
and carefully rub it on a hidden part of the carpet. If the white fabric does not discol-
our, you can clean the carpet with the device. For multicoloured carpets, test every
colour for colour-fastness.
Preparing the device / fi lling the fresh water tank
ATTENTION!
Only fi ll the fresh water tank with the enclosed cleaner or with commercially-availa-
ble carpet cleaners for carpet washers.
Do not use any high-foaming cleaners as an excessive amount of foam impairs the
functioning of the device.
Cleaning the carpet
ATTENTION!
Do not use the device as a conventional vacuum cleaner.
Always make sure that there is no risk of the device tipping over. The water could
leak out of the water tanks. To stow the device, position the handle in an upright
position so that it locks into place.
Never leave the device on when unattended.

1. Hold the fresh water tank (3) by the handle and depress
the release button (2). The tank will be released from the
locking mechanism.
2. Take the fresh water tank out of the device.
3. Unscrew the tank cap and fi ll it with carpet cleaner. Please
follow the dosing instructions for the cleaner.
4. Fill the fresh water tank with warm water (max. 40 °C) up
to the Max mark. Then put the cap back on the tank.
5. Mount the
fresh water tank in the midsection. In the pro-
cess, fi rst insert the rubber connecting piece on the bot-
tom of the
tank in the ring of the main unit. Then press the
tank against the top part of the midsection until it locks
into place.
