"GLACIER PRO" PLOW FRAME
KIT PN 2879103
In the event of a collision with an obstacle at a speed greater than that provided for the system, the angle selection
"T" pin (#32) of the manual angulation mechanism will break to minimize the force of impact in the pushframe.
If the angle selection "T" pin is broken, see if another part is damaged. If a part is damaged, the impact speed was
greater than what the system is designed to support. You must then buy a replacement from your dealer.
Only if the angle selection "T" pin is broken, a spare pin is provided in the angle lever. Follow these steps to change
the "T" pin:
1. Remove the "R" pin (#64) and the clevis pin (#63) retaining the angle lever (#29).
2.
By lifting the angle lever (#29), remove the spare "T" pin (#32). You can get a new "T" pin from your dealer.
3. With a long nose pliers, remove the two tension springs (short) (#68) retaining the "T" pin (#32).
4.
Remove the two pieces of broken "T" pin.
5.
Insert the new "T" pin.
6.
Replace the angle lever (#29).
7.
Reinstall the angle lever pin (#63) and the "R" pin (#64).
8.
Replace the two tension springs (short) (#68) using the long nose pliers.
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to buy a new "T" pin.
N OTE: The "T" pin is designed only to protect against the impacts affecting right and left ends of the blade. The
"T" pin does not protect the system at a central impact.
I MPORTANT: Always check the entire system after a failure to ensure that no damage occured other than the
"T" pin.
