2 Description and function
2.1 Description of the product
Double pump contains two identically pump heads in a common pump housing
with change-over flap.
Each pump can run in single mode (main/standby operation) or both pumps can
also run simultaneously in parallel mode (incremental/load operation).
For automatic permutation in case of default, an external switchgear is required.
3 Installation and electrical connection
3.1 Installation
See Fig. 1 of this leaflet for installation positions of the pump.
In case of installation in horizontal piping, a regular permutation between the
two heads is advisable.
3.2 Electrical connection
Provide a separate mains connection cable and a separate fuse mains side for
both motors of the double pump.
4 Commissioning
4.1 Setting the control mode and the delivery head
Parallel operation: If the two pumps run simultaneously, settings must be
identical for each pump.
All control modes are possible.
Main and standby pump: If individual pump runs alternatively by means of an
automatic permutation in reserve operation, settings must be identical for each
pump.
All control modes are possible.
