3.2 Product description

EDR.. duct fans are diagonal fans with inlet
flange, stator and a diffuser at the air exit.
This design makes possible even flows and
quiet operation.
3.2.1 EDR 25, EDR 31, EDR 35, EDR 40
● 230 V duct fan. For ventilation or air
extraction, depending on installation
position.
● On/off with separate switch. The fan unit
switches on/off immediately when the
switch is operated.
● Speed control available when transformer
is used. Speed control using phase angles
is not permitted.
● Direction of rotation cannot be changed
(no reverse operation).
● In the event of thermal overload, an
integrated motor overload protection
switches the unit off.
3.2.2 EDR 45, EDR 50
● 230 V duct fan. For ventilation or air
extraction, depending on installation
position.
● On/off with separate switch.. The fan unit
switches on/off immediately when the
switch is operated.
● Speed control available when transformer
is used. Speed control using phase angles
is not permitted.
● Direction of rotation cannot be changed
(no reverse operation).
● Fan motor with thermal contacts on
terminal connections. These must be
switched on a suitable triggering device,
e.g. the Maico motor protection switch
MVE 10. The triggering device may not
switch itself back on automatically after
triggering.
3.2.3 EDR 56, EDR 63, EDR 71
● 400 V duct fan. For ventilation or air
extraction, depending on installation
position.
● On/off with separate switch. The fan unit
switches on/off immediately when the
switch is operated.
● Speed controllable with frequency
converter. Not suitable for operation with
transformers. On/Off only if there is no
frequency converter.
● Direction of rotation cannot be changed
(no reverse operation).
● Fan motor interconnected with thermal
contacts. Motor monitoring using frequency
converter.
