10. Holding the two sections, slide one rear anchor be-
hind the screw at the top of the sections where they
meet as indicated and tighten the screw to secure it.
Note: For 1825RGL, tighten the screws of the panel
anchors through the square holes in the top rail.
11. Add another anchor at the intersection of the other
rear sections.
1500 & 1700 ONLY: Add the remaining two anchors,
one at each end of the rear panel. They will help
support the top panels. If the fi replace is a model
with only two holes for the anchors, drill an addi-
tional two holes and fi t the two anchors at each
end of the panels.
12. The top panel is supplied in two identical sections.
The sections are beveled and the smooth black 'fi re
side' is notched at the front and straight at the back.
a. 1525RGL & 1725RGL: When installed, the top
panel rests at the rear and sides on the glass
panels and their anchors. In the front, it rests on
the top panel support bracket inside the front
edge of the fi rebox.
i. Position and slide the top panel into the left
corner of the fi rebox, then slide it in to corner
of the fi rebox to sit on the side and rear
panels.
ii. Carefully position, lift and slide the second
section top panel on top of the fi rst, then slide
it in to right corner of the fi rebox to sit on the
side and rear panels.
b. 1825RGL: When installed, the top panel rests on
the front and back rails.
i. Insert one section of the top panel, smooth
black surface down. Push the section on the
left side as far as it will go—there is a stop tab
at the left end of the rails.
ii. Insert the second section in the same
manner. Push it against the fi rst section and
ensure there is no gap between the sections.
