ENG
In the event of excessive temperature (not necessarily due to lack of
water in the vat), the safety thermostat discontinues heating by power-
ing off the resistors; in that case switch off the appliance, open the switch
and close the stopcock located upstream and contact the support service.
2.3 Emptying the Vat
To empty the vat it is required to open the drain valve. This opera-
tion is performed using the lever (supplied with the pasta cooker) to
be hooked to the cock extension; both are in the lower part of the
guard inside the cabinet (fig.11).
Pay attention to any boiling water sprays!
3. MAINTENANCE
3.1 Cleaning and care of the appliance
Before starting cleaning operations disconnect the appliance from
the mains by closing the switch upstream of the appliance.
Daily, at the end of use, empty the vat and rinse it with plenty of
water. Daily cleaning of the appliance, in addition to reasons of hy-
giene, assures proper operation and longer service life of the appli-
ance.
Also clean well the filter located at the bottom of the vat, above the
drain (fig. 10).
On a weekly basis it is recommended to run a plastic bottle cleaner
along the drain to prevent the formation of scaling.
Do not use direct or pressurised water jets to wash the appliance.
Likewise, no scourers, brushes or scrapers in common steel should
be used to clean the appliance; stainless steel wool may be used if
necessary rubbing it in the same direction as the satin finish. Steel
parts must be washed with hot water and neutral detergent. Do not
use abrasive or corrosive detergents that might damage steel.
In the event of prolonged disuse of the appliance, disconnect it
from the power mains and accurately clean surfaces.
