possible,
so that sound
vibration
does
not affect
stylus movement.

Acoustic
feedback
or "'howling,''
caused
when
the sound
emanating
from
the
speaker
systems
vibrates
the
floor
and
air, will
indirectly
vibrate the stylus tip. Such vibration
is amplified
by the amplifier and
reproduced
through the speakers infinitely. The result is an oscillating
boom audible when a record ts played.
