3.4 Operating elements

3.4.1 Thermostat

NOTICE
Damage to the screed as a re-
sult of incorrect temperatures
f Observe the instructions of the
screed manufacturer.
f Do not exceed the screed temper-
ature specified as per DIN 1264-4
near the heating pipes.
You can set the desired room temperature at
the thermostat. The thermostat detects the
room temperature and the valve opens and
closes accordingly.

3.4.2 Setting of the regulating insert

You regulate the volume flow with the help of
the regulating insert.
The volume flow is determined with
the help of a surface heating design
according to DIN 1264.
1. Close the valve disc by turning it clockwise.
Use a 4 mm Allen key.
2. Set the volume flow by turning anticlock-
wise. You can obtain the number of turns
from the charts in the appendix.

3.4.3 Setting of the bypass

You set the bypass at the handwheel.

represent full values (corresponds
to 1 turn), the figures on the
handwheel correspond to 1/10
a turn.
Proposed settings for the bypass (e.g. solar
radiation during winter):
• Rooms with high solar radiation 25% (cor-
responds to bypass setting 1.4)
• Rooms with medium solar radiation 50%
(corresponds to bypass setting 1.9)
• Rooms with low solar radiation 75% (corre-
sponds to bypass setting 2.3)
If required, adapt the settings to the conditions
of the individual rooms.
Note the determined values and the
setting on the adhesive label inside
the "Unibox E BV".

3.5 Cover with thermostat

The cover with thermostat can be infinitely
pulled out up to 20 mm.
