Front Panel Features
The MicroLim LIM front panel (operator interface board), illustrated in figure 3, is
designed for maximum ease of use. The following paragraphs describe the features
shown in the figure.

Analog Bar Graph. This graph consists of 16 segments, 10 green and 6 red. The graph
shows the percentage of alarm level. Depending on the setting, the 100% alarm level
corresponds to 2 mA for a LIM set to the 2 mA alarm level, or 5 mA for a LIM set to the
5 mA alarm level. Each LED bar represents 10% increments of the alarm level current.
These illuminated segments show the percentage of hazard current the LIM is
measuring. During alarm, the red segments flash at a constant rate.
Selected Alarm Level. This LED display indicates the user-selected alarm level of the
LIM, either 2 mA or 5 mA. For LIMs used in Canada (catalog no. MLIM), alarm level must be
set to 2 mA to meet CSA certification.
