Setting the height of the blades
To adjust the blades, the following tools are necessary: 16 mm open-ended wrench and a piece of paper (minimum 80-100
g/m2 thickness).
First of all, the stainless steel top guard must be removed. Pull it upwards slightly, tilt it by 45° and slide it over the

anchors.
Second, it is necessary to remove the barrel. Loosen the fastening on the side protection and tilt it to open it.

Then remove the drive belt partially and rotate the barrel to uncouple it completely.

Carefully pull the barrel out and remove it completely.

Remove the bottom protection by unlocking the enabled fasteners rst and then applying force to release the clips

from where they are fastened.
Identify the two mechanisms, one enabled on each side, for blade adjustment. Always adjust both sides equally.

Turn the adjuster anticlockwise to increase the cutting height or clockwise to decrease the cutting height. IMPOR-

TANT: the adjusters are precision elements, turn the adjusters a little at a time and check the cut.
Check the sharpness of the blade with a sheet of paper. Place the paper between the blade and the reel, turn the reel

carefully. If the cut is clean, the blade is correctly adjusted. Perform the test on various areas of the blade. IMPORTANT:
the reel must rotate freely, if there is too much friction it is essential to increase the cutting height further. The friction
between the reel and blade should be minimal for cutting the sheet.
Once the adjustment has been made, replace the lower protector, tting the clips in their original places and secure it

with the latches.
Insert the belt back into the lower pulley, place it partially on the barrel rim and rotate it to fully engage it.

Tilt the side protector to close it and secure it with the clip.

Finally, replace the stainless steel top protection. Check that it is correctly positioned and secured by means of the

fastening systems.

Connect the suction tube of the aspirator to the inlet

of the MT Tumbler 500. Tighten the clips to secure the
suction tube.
