Carry out instrument settings for volume flow calculation:
The procedure for setting the volume flow calculation with the testovent
417 funnel kit is described in the instruction manual for the relevant
measuring instrument.
> testo 417 (up to firmware 1.05): Set an area of 0.0069m
configuration menu.
> testo 417 (from firmware 1.06): Enable F.Fact in the configuration menu (on).
> testo 417 new (0560 0417): Activate (on) F.Fact (Funnel Factor) in the configuration
menu, or select Funnel measurement via the App.
> testo 445 / testo 400: In the FUNNEL configuration menu, set the value to 24.4.
> testo 435: In the configuration menu under Parameter > Area enable funnel
setting.
> testo 480: In the measuring point for channel geometry parameter, select
the funnel.
> testo 440/testo 400: Selection of the funnel measurement application
Carry out measurement:
Damage to the measuring instrument or probe!
> Always hold the measurement system by the handle of the funnel, not by
the instrument or the probe.
When using the testovent 417, pay attention to the fact that a pressure loss may
occur through the funnel depending on the required volume flow, which means
the volume flow will fall, according to the characteristic curve of the fan, and the
measurement result will differ from the actual volume flow at the outlet.
1 Position the measurement funnel over the ventilation equipment, so that the rubber
ring fits tightly.
2 Read the measuring values.
