Inserting and Releasing Battery
Pack
(Fig. 1, Fig. 12, Fig. 15)
This tool is equipped with Automatic Restart
Protection. This feature helps prevent acciden-
tal startups after power has been interrupted,
e.g. the Battery Pack 5 was removed with the
Slide Switch 2 locked in the on position. To re-
sume operation, turn the Slide Switch 2 to the
OFF position, and back to the ON position to
restart the tool.
Make sure that the Slide Switch 2 is in the OFF
position before inserting or removing the Bat-
tery Pack 5. To insert the Battery Pack 5, slide
it into the Motor Housing 34 until the Battery
Pack 5 locks into position .
To remove the Battery Pack 5, press the Battery
Pack Release Button 6 and slide the Battery
Pack 5 forward.
Your tool is equipped with a secondary lock-
ing latch to prevent the Battery Pack 5 from
completely falling out of the Motor Housing 34,
should it become loose due to vibration.
Press the Battery Pack Release Button 6 again
and slide the Battery Pack 5 completely out of
the Motor Housing 34 .
