Controlling the Temperature
Top Vent
Top vent regulates the volume of air going
out of the kamado. The Top vent can be set
at different positions to finetune cooking
temperature inside the kamado. Each number
on the top vent represents 20% opening, with
number 1 being 20% and number 5 being
%100.
Bottom Vent
Bottom vent is the primary source of air
intake. Keeping the vent at 100% air intake
allows higher air intake to achieve the desired
temperatures quickly. The vent can be moved
to different positions for different percentages
of air intake which makes it easier to regulate
the temperature inside.

Thermometer
Thermometer is a temperature gauge attached
to top dome of the kamado. The thermometer
provides an average temperature inside the
Kamado. The temperature on cooking surface
is always higher than what the thermometer
shows.
