USE
Step 1
•
Remove flywheel.
•
Turn engine in TDC position.
•
Remove oil pan.
•
Disconnect the cable from the speed sensor (arrow).
•
Unscrew and remove the sender, pick up the rubber
grommet.
•
Remove and discard radial seal carrier bolts, new bolts
must be used.
Step 2
•
Insert three M6 screws into the threaded holes (arrows).
Pull the radial seal carrier with the three M6 screws.
•
To do this, screw the three screws alternately, a
maximum of half a turn per screw, into the radial sealing
ring carrier and pull the unit including the encoder ring
from the crankshaft.
Step 3
•
Screw large hexagon nut B to just before the clamping
surfaces A of the threaded spindle.
•
Clamp the installation tool in a vise (clamping surfaces A
on the threaded spindle). Press tool housing C down so
that it rests against the large hexagon nut B (arrow).
•
Then screw the large hexagon nut onto the threaded
spindle until the inner part of the tool lies flush onto the
tool housing.
