e. Turn the water on, release the trigger lock,
then squeeze the trigger to purge the pump
system of air and impurities (Fig. 12).
5. There MUST be at least 10 ft (3 m) of
unrestricted garden hose between the pressure
washer inlet and any device, such as a vacuum
breaker or check valve.

CLEARANCES AND AIR MOVEMENT
WARNING! Exhaust heat and gases can ignite combustibles, structures or
damage the fuel tank, causing a fire. Keep at least 4 ft (1.2 m) clearance on all
sides of pressure washer including overhead.
IMPORTANT! Consult the Safety Precautions in the included Engine manual.
1. Only operate the pressure washer outdoors.
2. Place the pressure washer in a
well ventilated area that will
remove exhaust gas
(Fig. 13-1) and prevent it from
accumulating into the area.
3. Ensure the exhaust gas does
not enter a confined area
through windows, doors,
ventilation intakes or other openings.
4. Take prevailing winds and air currents into account.
