Application
Unpressurised storage heaters (displacement water heaters)
Technical Data
Flow pressure
If static pressure exceeds 5 bar, a pressure reducing valve
must be fitted.
The fitting is provided with a flow regulating valve to
protect the storage heater from excess pressure.
• Temperature:
Max. hot water temperature
• Supply voltage (transformer 230 V AC/12 V AC):
• Power consumption:
• Automatic safety shut-off
(factory setting):
• Run-on time (factory setting):
• Reception range with Kodak Gray Card,
grey side, 8 x 10", landscape
(factory setting):
• Type of protection: - Fitting
- Transformer
Special accessories
• Infrared remote control (Prod. no. 36 206) for changing the
factory settings and selecting special functions.
• Base for increasing height of fitting and sensor system
(Prod. no.: 36 210).
Safety notes
• Installation is only possible in frost-free rooms.
• The transformer is only suitable for indoor use.
• In the case of damage to the transformer housing, this must
be replaced by the manufacturer or his customer service
department or an equally qualified person, in order to
prevent a hazard.
• For cleaning purposes, the transformer plug must not be
directly or indirectly sprayed with water.
• The voltage supply must be separately switchable.

Installation
Fitting
Refer to the dimensional drawing on fold-out page I.
Fasten fitting to wash basin, see fold-out page II,
Figs. [1] to [3].

Water connection, see Figs. [4] and [5]
A
= cold water hose from service valve
B, C= connection hose to / from storage heater
• Insert filter (A2) and screw adapter (A1) with integral flow
regulating valve onto the service valve, see Fig. [4]
• Screw the pressure hose marked blue (A) [arrow pointing
upwards] to adapter (A1).
• Screw the pressure hose marked blue (B) [arrow pointing
downwards] to the storage heater inlet connection, with the
seal (B1) supplied.
• Screw the pressure hose marked red (C) to the storage
heater outlet connection, with the seal (C1) supplied.
In order to ensure permanent, trouble-free operation,
fitting of the enclosed adapter with dirt strainer and flow
regulating valve is mandatory.

Operation
The infrared-electronic system emits invisible, pulsed light.
The infrared-electronics are adjusted so that water flow is
approx. 13cm
initiated when the hands approach the vicinity of the spout.
IP 59 K
When the hands are withdrawn from the vicinity of the spout,
IP 44
water flow is stopped after 1 s (factory setting).
The range of the sensor system is dependent upon the
reflective properties of the detected object.
Note:
For anonymous use, we recommend affixing the enclosed
sticker.
Filling the storage heater, see Fig. [6]:
Set mixer lever (G) to the hot water position and trigger the
fitting by approaching with the hands. Wait until water flows out
of the spout, then switch on the appliance.
Important note!
Volume of water in storage heater will expand as it is
heated.
Expansion water must drip out of the fitting spout.
This process is necessary and normal.
The spout must not be fitted with any downstream
resistances in the form of air bubblers (e.g. mousseurs)
and components reducing flow (e.g. restrictors) as these
will result in damage to the storage heater.
Setting the temperature limiter
1. Remover screw (F) using a 2mm allen key, see Fig. [7].
2. Turn mixer lever (G) clockwise until the desired maximum
temperature is reached.
3. Detach mixer lever (G).
4. Detach stop ring (H) and reattach with notch (H1) pointing
vertically upwards.
5. Turn mixer spindle (J) anti-clockwise to the stop.
6. Attach mixer lever (G) in horizontal position and
fasten with screw (F).
Cleaning
• For cleaning purposes, the fitting can be switched off by
attaching the enclosed cleaning clip (K), see Fig. [8].
The fitting can be switched off using the remote control (see
Special accessory, Prod. no.: 36 206).
