8 Intended Use
This product is intended to be used as a shower aid.
Users are any adults and adolescents with restricted or
limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips). If used without an
assistant, users must be able to keep their own balance.
The product is intended exclusively for home use and is not
intended for intensive use in institutions.
Indication
Restricted or limited mobility (e.g.: legs and/or hips) or
having balance issues to stand up or walk due to transitional
or permanent disabilities.
There are no contraindications known when using the
product as intended.
The maximum user weight is 120 kg.
9 Product Description
Invacare® Alizé H2480/1 is a shower chair made of
powder-coated steel composed of four height adjustable
anti-slip feet, two flip-up armrests and a plastic seat with
hygiene opening and plastic backrest.
10 Assembling the Product (Fig. 4, 5)
CAUTION!
Risk of Trapping
– Take care during assembly.
1. Assemble both frames E, H to the backrest F and to
the seat G (Fig. 4). Tighten the screws A by hand.
2. Tighten all screws with the Allen key no. 5. Install the
covering caps D on the screw heads.
3. Remove the safety clip B from the leg.
4. Adjust the desired height by moving the adjustment tube
J into or out of the leg.
5. Reattach the safety clips B through the desired holes of
the leg and the adjustment tube.
6. All four legs must be adjusted to the same height.
CAUTION!
Risk of Injury or Damage
– Make sure that all four clips are securely
fastened.

11 Maintenance
11.1 General Maintenance Information
This product is maintenance-free, provided that the cleaning
and disinfection instructions are adhered to.
11.2 Cleaning and Disinfection
General Safety Information
CAUTION!
Risk of Contamination
– Take precautions for yourself and use
appropriate protective equipment.
IMPORTANT!
Wrong fluids or methods can harm or damage
the product.
– All cleaning agents and disinfectants used must
be effective, compatible with one another and
must protect the materials they are used to
clean.
– Never use corrosive fluids (alkalines, acid etc.)
or abrasive cleaning agents. We recommend
an ordinary household cleaning agent such as
dishwashing liquid, if not specified otherwise in
the cleaning instructions.
– Never use a solvent (cellulose thinner, acetone
etc.) that changes the structure of the plastic
or dissolves the attached labels.
– Always make sure that the product is completely
dried before taking it into use again.
Cleaning Intervals
IMPORTANT!
Regular cleaning and disinfection enhances
smooth operation, increases the service life and
prevents contamination.
Clean and disinfect the product
– regularly while it is in use,
– before and after any service procedure,
– when it has been in contact with any body
fluids,
– before using it for a new user.
Cleaning Instructions
IMPORTANT!
– Clean by hand
– Maximum cleaning temperature 60 °C
1. Clean the product by wiping down all generally accessible
surfaces.
2. Dry the parts with a cloth.
Disinfection Instructions
Method: Follow the application notes for the used
disinfectant and wipe-disinfect all accessible surfaces.
Disinfectant: Ordinary household disinfectant.
Drying: Allow the product to air-dry.
12 Reconditioning
This product is suitable for reuse. To recondition the product
for a new user, carry out the following actions:
