The method of operation of the device is based on the principle of the irregular disturbance of
the pests by vibrations with a frequency of less than 100 Hz. In order that the vibrations can be
well radiated, the device must be rigidly mounted on a radiation body, which has good natural
stability. These are, for example, stands with shelves, load carrying parts with insulation, in-
termediate ceilings and panelling. The more compact the construction, the better the impulses
are radiated.
The sensitive ears of mice ind these loud impulsive sounds so unpleasant that they soon have
to leave the noisy area. The emission frequency is changed in a random manner which auto-
matically counteracts any tendency for the mouse to become accustomed to the noise. Thus,
long pauses are normal and not an indication of defects.
The animals stop looking for food, water and shelter and move on.

These upset or drive out the pests by ultra-sound which is relected by solid materials. As a
result an acoustic shadow can be produced which offers the animals the possibility of creeping
away. Then R100 comes into action and closes the net.
