COUNTERWEIGHT FOR MTD TRACTORS 700 SERIES

Wrench: 1/2''

Socket: 1/2''

Ratchet

Jack

Axle stands

NOTE: If necessary, remove the rear tires from the vehicle.

a) Set the parking brake and remove the ignition key.

b) Install the right support plate (item 1) & left support plate (item 2) on the tractor frame as shown. Secure

each side with the two thread cutting screws 5/16'' x 1'' (item 3). Do not tighten right now.

c) Slide the support flat bar (item 4) in the vertical slots on the support plates.

d) Place the four weights (item 5) between the support plates and secure in place by inserting the pin (item 6)

through the support plates and through the weights. Lock in place with the a hair pin 4mm (item 7) on each

side.

e) Tighten all bolts securely.
