3.5.2 Mode
FC mode
In the non-operative state, the valve is
closed by spring resistance. When the
actuator is subjected to the control
pressure (bottom connection), the valve
opens. If the control pressure escapes,
the valve is closed by the spring resis-
tance.
FC mode of operation with a 3/2-way
solenoid valve for bottom connection

FO mode
In the non-operative state, the valve is
opened by spring resistance. When the
actuator is subjected to the control
pressure (top connection), the valve
closes. If the control pressure escapes,
the valve is opened by the spring
resistance.

FO mode with a 3/2-way solenoid valve
for top connection
DA mode
The valve has no defined home position.
The valve is opened and closed by
applying control pressure to the corres-
ponding connection (top connection for
closing, bottom connection for opening).

The DA mode with a 4/2- or 5/2-way
solenoid valve. Both connections are
used.
