Errors or oversights involving earthing may have fatal
effects.
4. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
The assembly operations must be performed by qualified
personnel after reading the manual.
SAE construction form
The drive motor is directly coupled to the alternator in this construction form.
Proceed to assemble in the following way:
1) Set the alternator in the vertical position and remove the rotor using an
M10 eyebolt.

2) Lift the rotor and set it in position near the flywheel.

3) Align the holes in the discs with the threaded holes of the flywheel and
fasten the rotor using M8x20 UNI5931 screws. Use a hexagon key with
spherical head to facilitate the fastening operation.

Tightening torque:

4) On the rear side of the rotor shaft, mount an M12 tie rod at least 90mm
long. After having removed the rear cover from the stator, fit the machine
to the rotor previously coupled to the motor so that the bearing on the
shaft approaches its housing in the NDE flange. Take care to prevent the
windings from colliding.
Insert a washer with an outer diameter of at least 70 mm onto the M12 tie
rod previously assembled on the shaft, then tighten an M12 nut so that the
bearing enters its housing and the casing couples to the motor.
Keep the fixed part aligned during this operation and make sure that the
bearing and flange are properly seated in their housing.
