Maintenance
Maintenance regulations for Geberit pressing jaws
These Geberit pressing jaws are low-maintenance and do not need to
be tested by authorised repair shops if they are used as intended.
However, pressing jaws still require maintenance. Pressing jaws that
are not maintained, or are not professionally maintained, can cause
accidents and injuries.
It is essential to observe the maintenance intervals and maintenance

• Check the Geberit pressing jaw for
externally visible defects such as damage,
material cracks, patches of rust and other
signs of wear. Replace the pressing jaw if
defects are present.
• Spray the pressing contour with
BRUNOX® Turbo-Spray® and clean with a
cloth.
• Remove deposits in the pressing contour.
• Examine whether the jaw levers can move
easily. If necessary, move the jaw levers
several times until they are able to move
easily.
• Check that the Geberit pressing jaw is fully
closed and has sufficient press capacity
using the Geberit PowerTest. If defects are
detected during the check, the pressing
jaw, pressing tool and PowerTest must be
sent to an authorised repair shop.
