Using the Prisma
Reading with the Prisma
Put the Prisma on a surface near your television set and sit down directly infront
of it. Ideally, the television screen should be slightly below your eye level. The
reading table of the Prisma should be at your elbow height (assuming you are
sitting down).
Place the document on the reading plate of the Prisma and set the sharpness
level that you require. Next, set the magnification according to your
requirements. It may be necessary for you to adjust the sharpness to the current
size once more. Make sure that the camera is parallel with the document.
Now move the document to the beginning of the text. Move the document
around looking at the television screen at the same time.
Your Prisma is also supplied with a rubberized mat. Put this onto the reading
table with the rubber coated surface facing upwards. The mat helps you to
move heavy books or similar items around without expending so much energy.
