When using the trimmer head the feed
mechanism must be tapped against the
ground first to feed out the line.

Stop the rotation of the trimmer head by
releasing throttle control A and B.
10. Turn off the engine by pressing the power
switch.
11. The choke lever can be in the OFF position
when starting if the engine is hot.
WARNING!
Do not use the trimmer to sweep with
the trimmer head at an angle. Stones and
other objects can be thrown up to 15 metres
and cause personal injury and/or material
damage.
MAINTENANCE
NOTE:
Switch off the engine, release the spark
plug lead from the spark plug and allow
the engine to cool before cleaning and/or
maintenance.

Proper maintenance and regular cleaning
are essential for the machine to work
satisfactorily.
•
Do not rinse the clearing saw with water.
The penetration of water can damage the
engine and electrical parts.
•
Clean the clearing saw with a dry cloth,
brush or the equivalent.
DRAINING THE FUEL TANK
1.
Place a suitable container under the fuel
tank.
2.
Remove the fuel cap.
3.
Allow the fuel to drain out into the
container.
4.
Replace the fuel cap and firmly tighten.
ENGINE AND MUFFLER
In order to reduce the risk of fire, clean the
engine's cooling fins regularly with compressed
air and remove chips, leaves and other debris
from the area around the muffler.
STARTER
Keep the clearing saw's ventilation openings
clean to avoid overheating. If the starter cord
is worn and damaged, contact your dealer to
purchase a new one.
SCREW JOINTS
Check that all screw joints are properly
tightened at regular intervals and that the
handle sits firmly.
SPARK PLUG
•
Regularly check the spark plug and
remove any deposits with a wire brush.
•
Check and adjust the electrode gap. It
must be 0.5 mm.

Refit the spark plug and tighten with the
supplied spanner.
•
Replace the spark plug with a new one of
the same type if the electrodes are burnt
and at intervals of 100 operating hours.
AIR FILTER
NOTE:
Clean the air filter after an interval of 12
working hours to ensure proper and safe
functionality. The engine can be damaged if it
is run without a properly functioning filter.
1.
Undo the screw and remove the filter
cover and filter unit.

Wash the filter unit with water and a mild
detergent. Do not use petrol or solvents.
3.
Allow the filter to dry in the air.
4.
Replace the filter unit and filter cover and
tighten the screw.
NOTE:
Do not start the engine without an air filter.
