Bleeding The Air Purge Valve
NOTE: Water must be at the printed level on the spa wall.
NOTE: Bleeding the air purge valve is the key step to ensure the pump runs normally.
CAUTION: You must ensure the pump is prepared before operating, if you do not follow these
instructions the pump may operate abnormally. Never dry run the pump as this type of damage
is not covered by the warranty.
1. Open the air purge valve located on the top of the pump by turning the knob counter clockwise.
Maximum ventilation occurs with two full turns of air purge valve.
NOTE: If the valve becomes unthreaded, simply place it back on and turn clockwise to rethread.
2. With the pump running and air purge valve open, water will begin to flow into the pump releasing air from the
system. This process will take about 30 seconds depending on the amount of the water in the spa and the pump.
3. When water begins to flow from the opening of the air purge valve, close the valve and dry any excess water
from the surface of the pump.
