8. At this stage, you may replace either the sprocket or
the main axle.
9. To reassemble the kit, reverse the steps and torque
bolts to 7 ft-lbs and
1/4" nc
ATTENTION : When you are ready to screw the three
1/4" nc X 1/2" bolts to retain the tightening washer on
the top of the main axle (step 5), make sure that there is
no oily substance present on the threads and apply
Loctite 242 onto the threads before tightening the bolts.
Torque to 7 ft-lbs.
4.3. Hifax Replacement
The following steps refer to one hifax. However, all of the
hifax follow the same procedure for installation and
removal.
1. Raise the ATV off the ground.
WARNING
When the ATV is raised, make sure that it is properly
secured/supported to prevent it from accidentally
falling during the installation of the tracks. If not
properly secured/supported, serious physical injury
could occur.
2. Remove the track following the procedure in
section 4.1. - Track replacement.
3. Remove the two screws attaching the hifax to the
plastic structure.
4. Replace the hifax. Use a rubber mallet to insert the
new hifax. You may use a small quantity of Teflon-
based lubricant to ease the insertion of the hifax.
Make sure to wipe off any excess of the lubricant to
prevent any contact with the rubber track.
5. Reinstall the two screws removed during step 3.
6. To reassemble the kit, reverse the steps and apply
the torque listed in Table 1 - Specifications of the
tightening torque.

4.4. Wheel Replacement
The following steps refer to one wheel. However, all the
wheels follow the same procedure for installation and
removal.
4.4.1. Small Wheel Replacement
1. Raise the ATV off the ground.
WARNING
When the ATV is raised, make sure that it is properly
secured/supported to prevent it from accidentally
falling during the installation of the tracks. If not
properly secured/supported, serious physical injury
could occur.
2. Remove the tension in the track as described in
section 4.1. - Track replacement.
3. Unscrew the
3/8" nc X 1"
the structure. Make sure to save the flat washer and
the lock washer.
4. Press downwards on the track to loosen the track
and to replace wheels.
5. To reassemble the kit, reverse the steps and apply
the torque listed in Table 1 - Specifications of the
tightening torque.
ATTENTION : If a lock washer is permanentaly
deformed and does not offer adequate resistance, it
should be immediately replaced.
4.4.2. Large Wheel Replacement
1. Raise the ATV off the ground.
WARNING
When the ATV is raised, make sure that it is properly
secured/supported to prevent it from accidentally
falling during the installation of the tracks. If not
properly secured/supported, serious physical injury
could occur.
