Locate the Control Board under the Motor Cover
on the Talon. There are five electrical leads coming
off the Control Board. Three are a part of the
Power Cord/Cable Wire Harness. The three wires
connecting the Power Cable to the Control Board
are the green Deployment Notification Alarm, white
Battery (+) and black Battery (-). Do NOT cut the
black or red Motor Leads, marked on the Control Board
M+ and M-. Being careful not to cut the wire jackets.
Use a utility knife to carefully scribe a vertical cut
on the heat-shrink of the white, black, and green
wire terminations of the Power Cable at the base of
the Control Board. Use a needle nose pliers to peel
away the cut heat-shrink. Be careful to not cute the
wires.
f.
Using a needle nose pliers, carefully pull up to
disconnect the white, black, and green wires of the
Power Cable from the Control Board.
NOTICE:
Refer to the end of the installation
instructions for a full Talon Wiring Diagram.

g.
Use a #2 Phillips screw driver to remove the plastic
Strain Relief holding the Power Cord to the side of
the Talon extrusion. Save this for reuse to secure the
Quick Release Disconnect Plug.
h.
Pull the old Cable Wire Harness/Power Cord out
from under the motor and discard.

i.
Route the new Cable Connector Assembly behind
the Lift Motor. The end of the Cable Connector
Assembly that makes up the Quick Disconnect Plug
is that side that will be connected to the Control
Board. It lacks a Fuse Holder.
j.
Slide the three Heat Shrinks onto the three cables
of the new Cable Connector Assembly and connect
each of the terminals to the board. Use the Talon
Wiring Diagram to match the colors of the wires that
were just removed. Connect the ends of each wire
back into the appropriate location on the Control
Board. Make sure the Heat Shrink goes over the
connectors for each of the three.
k.
Apply heat to the Heat Shrink to seal the
connections. Be careful not to burn any of the
adjacent components or wires.
l.
Replace the Strain Relief onto the Cable Connector
Assembly and secure with the Strain Relief Screw.
