In a few minutes, you will experience a taste of the Sun. To accompany you during your discovery,
here are the essentials for creating your first successful solar recipes!
Your views are important to us so feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
What kind of weather do you need ?
Direct sunlight is needed, meaning that
shadows of people and objects are cast by the
sun, both in summer and in winter.. Ideally
between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (Paris: 150 days of sunshine
per year). Important: shelter yourself from the wind.
Which containers?
> A saucepan or pot (no frying pan) to better
capture the rays of the sun. > Of a dark or
black color to absorb the heat (no white or
shiny, the rays would be reflected) > With a cover to
retain the heat > Made of thin material, to transfer heat
quickly to the food (no cast iron). We recommend that
you use our "Cookup" pots in enamel steel or equiva-
lent receptacles.
How to use the oven bag?
Use the oven bag to surround the pot in order to
keep the heat in. At home, you can surround the
pot with 2 glass salad bowls. Avoid opening the
oven bag and the container repeatedly during cooking to
conserve the heat in the pot. The oven bag may be reused
many times, if you take care of it.

What is the cooking time?
Gentle cooking prolongs the cooking time by 30
minutes to 45 minutes, but allows the food to
keep its flavor and nutrients. Reheating a dish is
also a possibility: the SunGood allows you to reheat your
dishes in just 30 minutes.
What type of recipes can you make?
You can reheat your dishes and prepare all
kinds of recipes: vegetables, meats, rice, pizza,
cake, bread, fish, tisanes, etc. Important:  cut up
the food into small pieces, as this helps with cooking
(chicken, potatoes, etc.): it allows food to cook faster.
Please note: SunGood produces gentle cooking around
120°C. It does not allow grilling or boiling a large amount of
water (per glass of rice, use 2 glasses of water).
Where can you use the SunGood?
Flameless and smokeless, the SunGood can
be used everywhere. You can do solar
cooking wherever you want, in a park in town,
at the beach, in the mountain, or on your balcony. And, as
food cannot burn as in a traditional oven, you can just let
it cook without any supervision while you are enjoying
the sun!
