CONNECTION OF TWO ADDITIONAL
MAIN AMPLIFIER CHANNELS
You only need the "PRE OUT" sockets (14) if you want to use a separate stereo amplifier or two mono
amplifiers to supply two additional loudspeakers. This makes sense if you intend to use two more loud-
speakers for stereo music playback, for example in a separate zone (another room of your home). These
loudspeakers are then connected to the speaker outputs of the additional amplifier(s). The amplifier output
connections "PRE OUT" (14) must be connected with the input connectors of the main amplifier, in most
cases labelled "INPUT", "POWER AMP IN" or "MAIN INPUT".

Stereo Main amplifier
Instead of the stereo main amplifier shown here you can alternatively use two mono main amplifiers.
The output level is independent from the position of the speaker switch (4) and the plugging-in of the head-
phones (10).
