Use in brightfield
1. Move the analyzer slider ① to the right to remove analyzer
filter from the light path.(Fig. 12)

In this way it is possible to work in brightfield.

Use in polarized light
1. Move the analyzer slider ① to the left to insert analyzer filter
into the light path.(Fig. 12)
2. Remove one eyepiece from the observation head.
3. Insert 10X objective into the light path.
4. Remove the specimen from the stage.
5. Rotate the polarizer filter ② (Fig. 13) until a complete dark
field of view can be achieved. Now the "crossed-Nicol" posi-
tion is obtained and it is possible work in polarized light.
6. Put a specimen on the stage.
7. Insert the desired objective.
8. Focus the specimen.
9. Begin the observation.
•
Polarizer can be removed from the light path simply rotating
the polarizer unit toward right. (Fig. 14)
