Chemical Resistant Overboot - User Information
All Chemical Resistant Overboots supplied by Respirex International Ltd comply with the EC Directive for Personal
Protective Equipment (Directive 89/686/EEC) and are CE marked in accordance with the European harmonised standard
EN ISO 20347:2004. The Overboots are manufactured from Haxmax material and are intended to protect against chemical
risk with assessment according to EN 13832-3. The Overboots also provide full protection against hazardous chemicals
in accordance with EN943-2:2002, exceeding the requirements of this standard which demands a minimum breakthrough
time of 10 minutes when tested against the 15 chemicals shown in the first column of the table below.
Respirex Chemical Resistant Overboots have been tested with different chemicals given in the table below. The protection
has been assessed under laboratory conditions and relates only to the chemicals given. The wearer should be aware that
in case of contact with other chemicals or with physical stresses (high temperature, abrasion for example), the protection
given by the overboots may be adversely affected and necessary precautions should be taken.
Respirex Chemical Resistant Overboots and should be worn over a standard pair of anti-static industrial safety boots
conforming to EN ISO 20345 to provide protection against hazardous chemicals and are secured in position using the
rubber securing strap provided.
All chemical permeation testing on Haxmax material according to the principles of EN369 or EN374-3 except **tested in
accordance with EN 13832-3:2006.

The overboots are manufactured from materials which conform to the relevant sections of EN ISO 20347:2004 for quality
and performance.
This footwear is fitted with a vulcanised rubber sole for improved slip resistance in wet conditions that conforms to clause
5.3.5 of EN ISO 20345:2004.
