10 Power management with external meter interface
In order to perform the power management operations, a dedicated external energy meter
interface is present.
Through this interface, the charger can be connected to an external energy metering device
(provided as optional) which is able to inform the charger about the available amount of
charging power in the main supply network.
This means the charger knows, in every moment, the amount of power, left by the other loads,
that can be used to charge the EV battery.
The following scheme helps to understand a possible application of the power management
capability of the charger.
