Hilti HVU-TZ adhesive anchor capsule
Read the instructions for use before using the capsule in order to obtain a fully functional anchor fastening.
The concrete must have a min. compressive strength of 15 N/mm² (2000 psi).
• Use only undamaged capsules. Observe the capsule expiration date.
• Remove drilling dust and standing water from the bottom of a hole with a jet of air. Contaminated concrete
(oil, bitumen, chemicals) can reduce the loading capacity.
• Steadily drive the threaded rod into the capsule with the rotary hammering action at 250 to 1000 r.p.m. ,
while applying moderate pressure and using a pushed-on or screwed-on setting tool.
Switch off the machine immediately when the capsule embedment depth is reached.
• The hammering action must be switched on when setting all sizes.
• After the threaded rod has been set, the annular space must be completely filled with adhesive right up to the surface of the
concrete. If no adhesive emerges, the anchor fastening may not be used.
• DO NOT DISTURB the anchorage including removal of screwed-on setting tools until the time t rel has passed. (Page 3 of instruc-

• Tighten the anchor with a torque wrench and load it only after the time t cure has passed.
