3. The screw's thread is left-hand. Turn the screw clockwise to loosen.
4. Remove the screw and washer and set aside.
5. Pull the drum from the shaft and set aside or place in storage.
6. Align the groves in the new drum with the spline keys on the shaft.
7. Push the drum onto the shaft.
8. Reinstall the washer and screw. Hold the flats with the wrench and turn
the screw counterclockwise to tighten. Stop when hand-tight.
DUST PORT
The dust port directs the accumulated dust from the tool. Connect a dust
collection system to the port. Continue to wear a dust mask, as suspended dust
may still be in the air.
OPERATIONS
Set the tool's speed by rotating the variable speed dial to the appropriate
number. Speed increases as higher numbers are selected. The speed can be
changed without turning off the tool, as long as the tool is no longer touching
the workpiece.
SANDING
1. Check that the work surface is free from debris before sanding.
2. Set the tool's speed by rotating the variable speed dial to the appropriate

3. Firmly grasp both the front and rear handles.
4. Start the drum sander and allow it to attain full speed.
5. Hold the drum sander firmly and apply it to the workpiece.
