accessories on the pump.
• Never allow the pump to run dry.
• Never direct the discharge flow towards any persons, animals, electrical wiring or

IV. GETTING STARTED
4.1- Unpacking
• Remove the product from packaging
• Check if the product and accessories (if any) are intact.
4.2- Assembly
WARNING!
Before starting assembly or changing accessories, turn it off and disconnect from
main power source.
Selecting pump location
• The pump should be installed in a clean, dry and ventilated location which provides
adequate room for servicing and protection from freezing temperatures.
• It should be bolted to a good foundation, preferably concrete and provided with adequate
drainage.
• Locating the pump as close as possible to the water source reduces the friction in the suction
pipe and will give maximum capacities.
Installing suction line (not supplied)
• It is recommended that only new clean plastic pipe or hose
(min. 19mm or ¾") with threaded end (approx. 25.4mm or
1") be used.
• Horizontal lengths of pipe must gradually slope upward
from the source of water to the pump to avoid air pockets
in the line. Ensure that the suction line is not laid above the
pump height.
• A foot valve must be installed and its operation should be
checked since a leak will prevent proper operation of the
system. Make sure the foot valve is located so that it will
be submerged at all times.
• If the pumping medium is contaminated, a pre-filter must
be used to protect the pump from dirt. (See Fig. 2)
Installing pressure line (not supplied)
• It is recommended that only new clean plastic pipe or hose (min. 19mm or ¾") with
threaded end (approx. 25.4mm or 1") be used.
Electrical connection
• Make sure that the power supply corresponds with the connection specifications of the
device (see rating label).
• Make sure the electrical cable meets the specification of H05RN-F or higher.
• Check that the power cable is not damaged.
