The positioning stop enables the cutting of holes with equal spacing. The spacing within an adjustment range of 30.0 – 100.0 mm (fig. 8 + 9) can be set
with the help of the position indicator (it. 2 in fig. 7) without requiring prior measurements.
The positioning stop has a backlash-free threaded spindle which requires a slightly higher adjusting force.

Working with the positioning stop
Prerequisite:
1.) The punch is mounted at the bottom.
2.) The entire row of holes is produced with the same tool.
3.) The location of the first hole (the process is executed from left to right) is determined with the help of the length and depth stop.
Adjusting the hole spacing
Using the example of a desired hole spacing of 50.0 mm and a punching diameter of 20.4 mm.
Value displayed on position indicator = setting dimension "x"
Situation 1:

a
x
x = Desired hole spacing a + (hole diameter b : 2) – 3 mm
==>
x = 50 mm + (20,4 mm : 2) – 3 mm
x = 50 mm + 10,2 mm – 3 mm
x = 57,2 mm
