3) With rechargeable batteries that have
recently been recharged or with new
batteries the active speaker can be
oper ated for approx. 6 – 8 hours.
4) If the unit is not used for a longer period
(e. g. more than a week), the (recharge-
able) batteries should be removed. This
will ensure that the active speaker is not
damaged in case of any leakage of the
(rechargeable) batteries.
5) If the active speaker is operated with
rechargeable batteries, these recharge-
able batteries can be charged with the
plug-in charger (7). For this purpose,
connect the low voltage plug (8) of the
charger to the RECHARGE jack (4) and
the charger to a mains socket (230 V~/
50 Hz). The red RECHARGE control
LED (5) lights up. The rechargeable bat-
teries are charged with a current of
approx. 350 mA. Please observe the
maximum charging time according to the
capacity of the rechargeable bat teries
(charging time = capacity of re charge -
able batteries : charging current). In
case of doubt please ask your retailer.
6) After charging the rechargeable bat-
teries, disconnect the plug-in charger
from the mains socket as the charger
has a low current consumption even with
the active speaker switched off.
5 Operation
1) Connect the plug of the headband
microphone to the microphone jack MIC
IN (1) of the active speaker.
2) Put on the headband microphone and tie
the active speaker round your waist by
means of the adjustable snap-in belt.
3) Switch on the unit with the volume con-
trol VOL (3). The green operating LED
PL (2) lights up.

5) After operation, remember to switch off
the active speaker, otherwise the re -
chargeable batteries will be discharged
or the batteries will be dead the next
time the unit is operated.
