Issue no: 06
Adjusting the approach speed only
serves to reduce the tightening time
of the long screws. If the torque is
reached during this phase (at high
speed), the tightening results are less
acurate. To avoid this, we suggest
that you start with a short approach
time, then slowly increase until you
reach the best time.
If the torque has been reached during this
phase, a NOK message is displayed on the
screen with 3 audible sounds.
The output signals "ERROR" and "TORQUE"
will be transmitted simultaneously.
5.2.5. SLOW START
The slow start option can be adjusted between
0.2 and 2 seconds.
This option is mostly used in the self-tapping
screw cases.
If the torque is reached during this phase, less
acurate tightening torques may result from it.
If the torque has been reached during this
phase, a NOK message is displayed on the
screen with 3 audible sounds.
The output signals "ERROR" and "TORQUE"
will be transmitted simultaneously.

5.2.6. SPEED
You can choose a speed value included between
30 % and 100 % of the rated speed of the tool.
The torque range is valid only for the
rated speed given for each screwdriver.
If you need to choose a slower speed than the
authorised speed, check that the screwdriver
stops correctly at the selected torque.
Also see 5.2.4 (approach time) for the speed
adjustment on hard joints.

5.2.7. RUN REVERSE TIME
By selecting this option, the screwdriver will
automatically start an untightening cycle after
having detected a " TORQUE" or an " ERROR"
signal (except if MIN TIME ERROR).
You can choose a time included between OFF
(function excluded) and 10 seconds.
During the untightening cycle, it is important
to maintain the lever pressed or to maintain
the input "START" signal to make sure the
screwdriver stops at the end of the adjusted
untightening time.
5.2.8. TORQUE MAX (High Low Torque)
If different from 0 the tool will run at full power
and full speed during the programmed time.
This parameter is designed to enable thread
cutting strategies. All other phases ( like final
phase for instance) will start at the end of the
TORQUE MAX phase and so do all programmed
time.

TORQUE MAX phase allows the tool
to run at full power. If you have this
setting set too long it will damage
your parts and may cause injury to
operator. A torque reaction arm is
recommended when this parameter is
enabled.
