General precautionary measures
The following precautionary measures must be tak-
en to prevent electricity failure, fire, or the pan oper-
ating incorrectly.
If the lead overheats
Stop using the device and return it to the dealer/
supplier.
Correct 220V-240V power supply
The mains voltage must be 220V-240V, 1.4 kW (art.
239506 & 239483) or 1.6 kW (art.239605) from a
power outlet to which no other high-power device
is connected.
Handle the lead carefully
The lead should not be twisted. Do not remove the
plug from the power point by pulling the lead.
Do not submerge the party pan in water
Do not clean the party pan in water. After cleaning
the pan, allow it to dry before using it again.
The party pan must not be used in the following sit-
uations
Cleaning after use
After use, clean the pan in the following ways:
Party pan
Carefully clean the party pan after use, while it is
still warm, with a damp cloth or paper. If food scraps
are difficult to remove, put some water in the pan
and switch it on (ensure that the surface under the
pan is protected). The pan will be heated and the
scraps can be removed.
Note
a. Do not use detergent, nylon or a metal
brush, these can damage the pan.
b. Do not submerge the party pan in wa-
ter or wash it when it is still hot. This
can cause the device to break or you
can get burnt.
On an unstable surface or near flammable sub-
stances (newspaper, paper, PVC tablecloths, floor
covering, etc.). The party pan must be positioned at
least 15 cm away from walls or furniture.
The thermostat
The thermostat is a fragile component, therefore
caution is required. Do not drop the thermostat, it
can break or cause a malfunction.
Always use the thermostat supplied, never use a dif-
ferent one.
Ensure that you connect the thermostat in the ap-
propriate manner. When removing the thermostat,
never pull the lead but grip the plug itself to remove
it.
If the thermostat is damaged or overheated, switch
it off immediately, do not continue to use it, but re-
turn it to the dealer/ supplier for repair.
To switch off or remove the thermostat, turn the
knob to "Off".
Food scraps
After allowing the pan to cool down, cover the ther-
mostat socket to avoid water entering it during
cleaning. Clean the party pan with a soft cloth and a
mild cleaning agent
Lid
Clean with a soft cloth and a mild cleaning agent.
Do not use a cloth with solvent, benzene, aggressive
cleaning agent or chemical cleaner, because these
can damage the surface.
Thermostat
Clean with soft paper or a dry soft cloth. Do
clean the thermostat housing, because this can
cause electricity failure or fire.
After cleaning the party pan, dry it thoroughly with a
soft cloth and store it in a dry place. When the pan is
dry, lightly oil the inside of the pan.
