V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
This bench grinder is intended for indoor domestic use. This is designed for grinding,
sharpening and / or polishing metallic materials by using appropriate accessories within the
limits of the grinder. For example: knives, scissors, shears, hatchets, scythes... etc. Do not use
on materials containing asbestos or other hazardous materials. The tool is not intended for
artisanal, commercial, professional and / or industrial purposes.
5.2- Operation
Before use
• Prepare the workpiece.
• Check the grinding wheels for any signs of damage before starting the machine.
• Check and adjust the gap distance of spark protector and workpiece holder. Refer to Section
4.2 for details.
• If wet grinding is required, fill the water container with clean water up to 1/3 of the grinding
wheel diameter.
• Wear appropriate PPE.
• Set the power switch (3) to "I" position, then allow the grinding wheel running at full speed
for 10 seconds.
Operation
• Firmly grip the workpiece with clamps (recommended).
• Place the workpiece on the grinding area. Do not apply excessive force on the workpiece.
• Rest the workpiece on the workpiece holder (9) could be resulted in better grinding.
• When the grinding is completed, remove the workpiece from the grinding area.
After use
• Set the power switch (3) to "O" position to stop the machine. Do not force the grinding
wheel to stop.
• Clean and remove dust and debris from the machine surface.
5.3- Tips
• Ensure the workpiece is comfortably and securely held.
• For effective grinding, hold the workpiece at an angle of 30° to 40° on the wheel.
• Adjust the workpiece holder (9) to correct angle.
• Never grind with the sides of the grinding wheel.
