Preparation for use
·
Remove all packaging elements and labels, but
not the rating plate.
·
Place the espresso maker on a dry, level, and
non-slip surface.
·
Make sure that the power cord never comes into
contact with hot surfaces.
·
Do not stretch the cord over corners and edges.
Before initial use
·
Clean the coffee pot, the filter insert, and the
water tank under clear, warm water to remove
any possible production residue.
·
Make sure not to immerse the contact base or
the water tank in water.
·
For hygienic reasons, we recommend that you
prepare and pour away a cup of espresso before
making your first real cup of espresso. You can
brew this trial espresso with the amount of
coffee required to make 3 cups.

The appliance is intended
for in door use only.

Use the espresso maker only with the provided
contact base.
·
Do not place the contact base and the coffee
pot on a stove or gas flame.
·
The contact base may only be operated when
it is dry.
·
Please make sure that water is never spilled on
the contact base.
·
If water is accidentally spilled onto the contact
base, proceed as follows:
– Unplug the unit from the wall socket.
– Dry the contact base with an absorbent dry
kitchen towel.
– Dry the surface beneath the contact base.
– Plug the unit into the wall socket again.
cAuTIoN!
The espresso maker becomes
hot during operation. There is
a hazard of burn injury!
Avoid touching the surface of the
appliance. Grab the espresso
maker only by its insulated
handle!

Do not open the lid of the coffee pot during
operation. Scalding may result from escaping
steam!
·
Wait until the boiling process is complete and
the control lamp turns off.

Do not remove the espresso
maker from the contact base
during brewing! Never try to
remove or re-adjust the coffee pot
and the water tank or perform
similar operations during the
operation of the espresso maker!

Unplug the power cord immediately if the
appliance, the rubber gasket or the electric cord
has become damaged.
·
Unplug the appliance after using it.
·
Use only espresso coffee powder.

Fill the water tank only with
water and never with milk, sugar
or other liquids or ingredients!
·
Do not overfill the espresso maker. If the
espresso maker is overfilled, boilling coffee may
be ejected.
ATTENTIoN!
Always unplug appliance when
not in use and before cleaning!

Making 6 cups of espresso:
·
Fill the water tank with water up to the "6"
mark.
·
Take the 6 cup filter insert (including the coil)
and fill it to the brim with ground espresso
powder.
·
Smoothen the espresso powder across the
brim, but do not press the powder deeper into
the filter.
·
Insert the filled filter insert into the water tank.
·
Remove any leftover powder from the brim to
allow for a perfect seal along the gasket.
·
Screw the top of the espresso maker to the
water tank.
·
Place the top of the espresso maker straight
onto the water tank and tighten it by turning it
clockwise.
·
The arrows on the top of the espresso maker and
water tank must be at least above each other or
if possible tighten a little further.
·
Make sure the tanks do not tilt and the pot
is closed tightly to prevent any steam from
escaping.
·
You can now place the espresso pot onto the
contact base.
·
Insert the plug into the wall socket.
·
Switch the espresso maker on.
·
Do not open the lid during operation. Danger
of scalding!
·
The espresso is finished as soon as the control
lamp goes out.
·
Unplug appliance from the wall socket.
·
You can now serve the espresso.

The housing of the espresso
maker is hot! Grab the pot only
by its handle!
