FITTING
1. Remove bumper. (2 screws and 3 clips from each wheel arch, 2 screws from top edge (boot opening), 2 screws from
bottom edge. Unclip wheel arch trim to release ends of bumper and pull outwards then rearwards.)
2. Either remove the steel bumper beam and hand to customer or trim each end of bumper beam to avoid beam removal.
3. Remove the plastic internal boot sill trim, plastic rear side access covers and each side panel from the luggage
compartment.
4. Remove the rear lashing eyes from the boot floor.
5. Locate the four 'X' – shaped markings on each side of the boot floor and drill Ø12 for fasteners (J).
6. Assemble Spreader Plates (E) using fasteners (J), locating flat washers on underside of vehicle, and use as a template
to drill remaining three holes Ø12 on each vehicle side, through boot floor only (except forward most holes for
fasteners (H) which should be drilled completely through base of chassis).
7. Mark out and drill holes for Side Brackets (B) and (D) in lower face of each chassis rail. (Ø20) (See details below)
8. Insert fasteners (G) from inside the boot and assemble Bushes (F) and Side Brackets (B) and (D) to the underside of the
chassis rails using fasteners (G) and (H). Partly tighten.
9. Assemble Cross Bar (A) to Side Brackets (B) and (D) using fasteners (K).
10. Fully tighten all fasteners starting with (G).
11. Cut bumper as shown and refit to vehicle.
12. Assemble preferred neck to rear most holes in Cross Bar (A) using separate instructions and fasteners. (Note: for certain
models with addition bumper trim the Flanged Neck can be fitted to the rearmost set of holes.)
13. Assemble Electrical Plate (EP) to Cross Bar (A) using fastener (M).
14. Fully tighten all remaining fasteners.
15. Cut the boot side panels as shown below and refit.
16. Refit rear plastic trim and rear lashing eyes.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number ZQ3022 or ZQF3022) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball
dimensionally Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 139Nm
