FITTING
1. Remove bumper via 10mm bolts and 'push' fixings along bumper edge and under wheel arch, unclip electrical connections
and take off the bumper.
2. Open boot lid and remove boot liner to gain access to the inner side of the rear panel.
3. Remove both crash cans, retaining nuts (X).
4. Insert side arms B and C into their respective chassis rail, insert bolts E, replace nuts X, then hand tighten each sidearm. It
may be nessecery to drill holes out to a slightly larger diameter.
5. Position part D horizontally on the highest hole of each sidearm in the same orientation as shown in picture, mark and drill
two 11mm holes in each side, making sure to clean and re-protect any bare metal work.
6. Part D can now be loosely attached from within the boot using fixings F, making sure the washers fill the gap behind the
sidearm.
7. Attach crossbar A using bolts E.
8. Move towbar to the correct position and tighten all bolts up to their recommended torque.
9. Hand crash cans back to customer and replace bumper. The bumper can be partially trimmed and bent over the rest of
the bar or fully trimmed (fig1) exposing the bottom edge of the bar.
Note: This towbar must be used with a Witter 2*** series neck or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
Grade 10.9: M12 – 139 Nm
