guide lug upwards; this orientation is the only way to fix the two-pole plug
in the housing of the plug-in potentiostat without using force.
12. Plug the potentiostat (2) into a 230 V mains socket.
13. Fill the storage tank with water and check for leaks.
14. Required function check: The correct polarity must be checked by
measuring magnitude and sign of the drive potential applied with a DC-
voltmeter (e.g. digital multimeter or CorroScout
The drive potential applied must be U > +2.3 V DC, when the tank is
connected with the negative input and the titanium anode with the positive
input of the measuring instrument.
15. Check the pilot lamp in the potentiostat housing.
Note: The CORREX
tank has been filled with water.
Pilot lamp (15a) on top lit up green: mains supply established and CORREX
MP ready to operate.
Pilot lamps off: probably no mains voltage.
Pilot lamp (15b) at the bottem lit up red: malfunction of the system.
In this case, the checks described in chapter 9 must be performed.
Note: If the pilot lamp flashes red immediately after the first installation, it can
be assumed that the malfunction is due to inappropriate installation. Check
and eliminate the fault in accordance with the instructions in chapter 9.
7.2.3.1 Retrofitting kit for insulated-hole mounting
Instructions for the installation of the titanium anode
1. Scope of application
The retrofitting kit permits installing the titanium anode and the required com-
ponents in conformity with the requirements for insulated-hole mounting.
2. Illustration
Fig. 4 in the Annex ‚Mounting kit' shows the order in which the individual parts
are to be installed.
Note: Use the illustration as a visual aid for the installation.
3. Installation
The installation is effected in compliance with chapter 7.2.3
